What we host

Bring us the occasion

Our hall has held first dances and last goodbyes, church anniversaries and international festivals. Whatever you are planning, we have likely set the room for it before.

Weddings & receptions

Say your vows in the sanctuary and celebrate in the hall — all on one site.

Repasts

A dignified room and a warm meal for your family after the service.

Anniversaries & birthdays

Milestone celebrations, dressed up as much or as little as you like.

Banquets & programs

Awards nights, church anniversaries, organisational dinners.

Graduations

Send your graduate off with the whole family around the table.

Community events

Festivals, fundraisers and neighborhood gatherings.

The hall

Clean, warm and well kept

A large fellowship hall with round tables, linens and a stage area, right off Wyoming Avenue — with church staff on site the whole time you are here.

Catering

Cooked here, by people who mean it

We cater what we host. Plated dinners, buffets, breakfast spreads and themed menus all come out of our own kitchen — the same one that puts on a free breakfast for the men of this church every second Saturday.

Our Multinational Festival turned the hall into a tour of the world, one country per table, cooked and decorated by our own members. We are not a rental room that happens to have a stove.

“I had the best breakfast of my life at this church and I’m not ashamed to say it!”

— from a visitor’s review

Why book here

A church, not a banquet factory

One place, start to finish

Ceremony in the sanctuary, reception in the hall. No convoy across town between the two, and no second deposit.

People who have done this before

Fifty years of weddings, repasts and anniversaries. On the hardest days, you want a room run by people who have sat with families before.

Your money stays in the neighborhood

What you spend here goes back into feeding the hungry, tutoring young people and keeping these doors open on Wyoming Avenue.

Enquire

Tell us about your event

Send us the date and roughly how many people you are expecting, and we will confirm whether the hall is free and what it would take to put it on.

Prefer to talk it through? Call (313) 862-3700 — ask about the fellowship hall.

Popular dates go early. Saturdays in spring and summer, and the weekends around graduation, tend to be spoken for well in advance.

We will get back to you with availability — usually within a couple of days.

This hall belongs to a church
